Tenaciousness is a competency: One of the main actions I have taken when it comes
to being successful in this course are to always do all the assignments even
though they might seem endless. I use reminders on my phone to remind me before
an assignment is due so I do not forget to do my work.

Tenaciousness is also about attitude: Due to my illness it is very hard for me to complete
normal daily tasks for some people simply because I feel weak and nauseous.
What pulls me through is the reminder of how far I have already gone and that
if I give up now everything that I have already done with be worthless. I
develop tenacious attitude everyday, I have to if I want to keep up with
everyone else and my experiences that have contributed the most to this is
having Crohns disease.

Three tips:
Fostering the skills that support tenacity;
a) Go to
sleep early.
b) Make
sure you place reminders on your phone.
c) Have a
set schedule for every week before it begins.
Developing the 'tenacious mindset';
a) Exercise
at least four times a week.
b) Get a
watch and time yourself.
c) Work
toward something that makes you happy and has nothing to do with school or work
everyday.
Ricardo, I think it is great how you are able to overcome things that would normally hold people back. I believe that by being able to do things like that, you can be able to overcome anything that life may throw at you. Additionally, I think that your tips are great advice are something that everyone should do.
ReplyDeleteHey Ricardo! I applaud you for the dedication you have toward completing the numerous assignments for this course, especially considering the obstacles that you mentioned above. I think your idea regarding tenacity as something in which people continuously develop throughout their day to day life is interesting and highly applicable, as it’s not something that a person can have one day but not the next. I do wonder how relevant your advice is to exercise at least four times a week in developing a tenacious mindset, however, as I’ve heard of the numerous benefits of exercising regularly, but still fail to exercise myself.
