Idea Napkin #2

1)    You: My name is Ricardo Vazquez and my talents consist of being very good a communicating and organization. My experiences have led to my skills, through being a manager at Boost Mobile I have learned patience and multiple sales tactics that can be applied to everyday life. My aspirations are becoming a prestigious lawyer focused in aeronautics and later applying my knowledge and experiences to build a business within the industry of aviation. I believe my opportunity could play a tremendous role in my life simply because I know the market I am going in to because I am a part of it, not to mention how sustainability is one of the most popular industries at this time.
2)    What are you offering customers: The product I offer provides an easy way to dispose of the waste created by drinking single alcoholic beverages such as beers or can sized drinks. It will be attractive to people in college because of its sustainable aspect while at the same time providing an inexpensive way to drink through using carton to hold the drink itself.
3)    Who are you offering it to? What all my customers have in common is that they will be mostly young college students that care about saving the planet one step at a time. Therefore, it can be said that most of my client base will be college students especially those who are in fraternities and sororities.
4)    Why do they care? The reason why my customers will care about purchasing my product rather than just any random other hand held drink is because of the sustainable aspect it contains, meaning that when you are consuming my product you will be helping save the world one step at a time. Which is a factor many college students believe is crucial and makes them feel better about who they are because it makes them feel like they will be contributing to the contemporary issues the world faces today.
5)    What are your core competencies? I am yet to see at any store an alcoholic beverage that is provided in a sustainable manner. Most of them use cans and glass to hold the beverage they provide. Carton can also stay cold, definitely not as long as aluminum but long enough for the consumer to enjoy their drink at a cold temperature. Not to mention the fact that the product is sustainable, this factor will add to any insecurities the customer may have about the purchase.

  1. Hey Ricardo,
I think creating a sustainable alcoholic beverage is a great idea. However, I actually saw a similar product this week at the grocery store. It was a boxed wine with references to being "green" and sustainable on the front. It was not a household brand though and I still think there is a great opportunity in this space. If you can find a way to increase the popularity of this segment of the market, you will have no problem succeeding in it.
